Press release
The Missing Link has hired Lee Booy, formerly IT Director at Amaysim, as their first Chief Technology Officer. The decision to appoint a CTO for the first time was driven by both company growth and rate of change.
Alex Gambotto, CEO said, “At The Missing Link we have always strived to be leaders and authorities in the environment we work in. We enjoy working with clients on new and exciting projects that add value to their respective businesses. Hiring Lee was the next step in our evolution as a premier ICT solutions provider. After twenty years in the ever changing IT Landscape, further skills in our technical senior leadership team made sense. Our growth continues to humble us and we want to further push the boundaries for our clients and staff.”
Booy was at Amaysim for almost four years, his achievements at the company were impressive including scaling the business from a startup to a publicly listed company with over 1 million customer. While there he moved Amaysim to the cloud, built up a leading engineering culture centred around innovation and focused on workplace gender diversity.
“I am only happy when I’m moving – innovating, problem-solving and driving change. Success in these areas is another beast, change management in itself is a challenge, but is overcome with transparent communication and empathy. I look forward to applying my experience to The Missing Link and the challenges it throws at me.”
Since Booy has started his new position he has already rolled out new communication tools for internal and external collaboration, introduced new policies and changed the structure of the technical team.
“We are excited about what Lee brings to The Missing Link,” said Gambotto.
