Moovit – navigate local transit with live step-by-step directions that update in real time. No longer do you need to constantly check every stop, double-check directions or ask strangers for help (or rely on other unreliable apps). Moovit is a powerful tool that constantly updates, it even tells you how many stops you have left. Available on iTunes and Google Play.
HotelTonight – okay, okay, this is a booking app – but it’s a cool one. If you like to make last minute plans this could be your best friend in a foreign city. HotelTonight only partners with top-rated hotels, but you get huge discounts by booking at the last minute. Rooms can be booked hours or up to a week in advance. Available on iTunes and Google Play.
Roadtrippers – plan the ultimate road and discover all the hidden gems along the way. The app offers suggested itineraries, or you can build own, and along the way it tells you about local eats, scenic points, hotels and more. LoungeBuddy – is available at over 900 airports worldwide and tells you what lounges are available, where they are and how much they cost. You can check photos and reviews before you commit, best prices and customer support.Available on iTunes, coming soon to Google Play.
HappyCow – vegetarian or vegan? This app is for you – it has a massive database that helps you find vegetarian and vegan eats around the world. Happy you, happy cows 😊. Available on iTunes and Google Play.
Travello is for the solo traveller, like Tinder but for traveling (and with more clothes).It’s described as a social network for travellers. The app lets you find other travellers with similar interests, arrange shares or swaps and it also has a wifi finder. Available on iTunes and Google Play.
Rome2Rio – okay, another travel booking app – but this one has a twist. Enter in two destinations anywhere in the world and the app will give you the overland, water or air routes available. Pretty cool.Available on iTunes and Google Play.
Yuggler – this one is for the parents. Yuggler helps you find all the kid-friendly things to do near you. Available on iTunes.
