Here at The Missing Link we have gifted staff and from time to time we would like to showcase their talent. This week we met with Aaron Bailey, our Security Manager, to get an insight into what makes him tick.
Aaron Bailey joined The Missing Link team as our Security Manager in September last year. Aaron brought over 16 years’ experience in security, having previously worked for Dimension Data, 2e2, JPMorgan Chase and T-Systems, to name a few. In his previous roles Aaron worked as a Solutions Architect, Security Engineer and Security Practice Manager for NSW.
When asked about his role Aaron said that he most enjoys the freedom to set and direct the security strategy with new and innovative services and vendor partnerships, based on his learnings from the last 16 years in the security industry.
Aaron said, “Security can be often seen as a roadblock for most organisations. A challenge that seems to be very difficult to resolve in an industry that is evolving and changing faster than most, and an expensive exercise that just doesn’t fit into the IT budget.”
“I prefer to see security as a business enabler. Providing more ways to conduct business with clients and partners with greater efficiency and greater confidence. The more we move to digital means of communication and business processes, the more important security becomes to ensure we conduct business faster and with more people, while ensuring the safety and security of our critical business assets,” he said.
Originally from Greenbushes in WA’s countryside, Aaron has since lived all over Australia and loves to travel and DJ for leisure. Having lived abroad for 8 years he has been just about everywhere but moved back to Australia to start a family. He now spends his spare time with his wife Åsa and their son Jet.
Managing Director, Alex Gambotto, said, “Aaron is passionate about his work and continually develops and provides comprehensive security management solutions for our clients”.
“These consistently improve efficiency and return value thanks to his technical experience and expertise”.
