Recently, I was fortunate enough to be part of a group of about 700 industry professionals that gathered at the Hyatt Regency in Darling Harbour for the IT industry’s night of nights, the ARN Innovation Awards. This year was particularly special for all of us at The Missing Link.
We were humbled and super excited to take home the award for Channel Choice Partner, highly commended for the Mid Market Partner award and our Founder and CEO, Alex Gambotto, was inducted into the Hall of Fame, what a night!
We walk amongst giants
ARN has stated that this year was the most competitive line-up in the history of the awards, so we were thrilled even to be nominated given the calibre of our fellow nominees. A win was the icing on the cake!
Given that the Channel Choice Partner award is voted for by members of the industry, it really meant a lot to us – as a business and individuals. We all put our heart and soul into everything we do and being recognised by the industry and our peers is unbelievably gratifying and drives us to continue to provide the best service for our customers.
I’m proud to be a part of such an amazing group of people and this sentiment is echoed by our CEO, Alex. He has always been vocal in his belief that it’s the people at The Missing Link that make such a difference and allow our business to have grown into what it is today;
“This award is a testament to the efforts the team has been making and the investment of time, effort and focus they have put into our brand. It shows that what we’ve been doing works. Alex joins the Hall of Fame
And speaking of Alex… we’re still on a high after his induction into the ARN Hall of Fame.
With a 170+ strong ARN industry judging panel and past inductees asked to nominate from across the industry, this accolade is only awarded to people that have demonstrated a long-term commitment to the Australian IT industry.
The ARN award means he is now part of an exclusive group of just 40 of the IT industry’s best and brightest in the country. His leadership and guidance has allowed us all to develop both personally and professionally, he is proof that teamwork and intelligence will get you where you want to be. As he said in his acceptance speech;
“Since the beginning I have had a Walt Disney quote on my wall. ‘All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.’ Well, I believe that if you help people achieve their dreams, you will achieve yours.”
