I started my IT career in 2015 as a trainee after my dad talked me into doing IT once I finished school. I was unsure if the career path was right for me, but I haven’t looked back. I developed my IT skills as an engineer in my home state of Tasmania before moving to Sydney and joining The Missing Link in 2019. The Missing Link has become my second family since moving to Sydney.
The most rewarding part of my role is giving people a chance with their first job in IT and helping them develop into complete engineers through the graduate program I developed. I’ve witnessed many engineers move up the ranks of The Missing Link and elsewhere in the industry and knowing that I was a big part of their journey when they started is special to me.
Outside of work, I love being outside and doing something active. I have played hockey since I was 9 years old and was lucky enough to represent Tasmania multiple times. I also love Cricket, Aussie Rules and will even endure a Rugby League game from time to time now that I am a Sydneysider.
