I have always believed that whatever good or bad fortune may come our way, we can give it meaning and transform it into something of value. This is probably why I enjoy my job as Service Operations Manager with The Missing Link so much. With my team, I am responsible for the efficient management of level three escalations that come from our Service Experience Team - the ultimate aim being to create value and ensure customer satisfaction. Alongside that, we are continuously working to improve The Missing Link’s internal infrastructure so that we can comply with the latest security requirements and maintain our edge as the experts on new technologies.
While my day-to-day work is exciting and fulfilling, perhaps what inspires me most is the team around me. The challenges and guidance I have been given by my managers have made me the person I am today, and I am now humbled to be able to pass on my knowledge and to mentor and assist my own team to grow personally and professionally. Doing so, helps me to grow further as well.
Before I joined The Missing Link, I completed an apprenticeship in IT then spent more than 15 years working for various MSPs across Germany and Switzerland. As you’d expect, during that time I really honed my technical skills. But it was my first leadership role that provided me with the greatest insight - the importance of clear communication, respect and people management. This is a learning I’ve carried with me and applied to every role ever since.
Outside of work, I love unwinding in the outdoors and simply taking time to be present with my wife and dog. We enjoy camping and we are both total foodies and wine lovers - which makes it so cool to have the Hunter Valley on the doorstep of my home.
My favourite gadget is my new DJI drone that lets me see the world from a different angle.
